Carrières du Hainaut owns and operates a 202 ha bluestone quarry in the south of Belgium. It produces 110.000 m³ of stone blocks per year, 1/3 being sold after processing as semi-finished products to stone and marble cutters who then transform them into finished products. Bluestone is sold in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and the north of France. It is used in house construction for the decoration of doors, terraces, gardens, but also indoors for living rooms and bathrooms.
Bluestone is used in the building and decoration of public places such as squares, fountains.
